Great place to eat my family and I got there for breakfast any chance we get

Very laid-back atmosphere really nice people a fun environment to get some good comfort food very clean was a great place to kill a couple hours in the morning with a very good omelette!

My daughter and I went the for the first time the other day and my burger was amazing. She got the kids French toast, 2 thick slices and bacon. All was made perfect. We will be back for sure! Next time I will make sure to have my husband and son with!! I wish they were open longer then 3pm. Highly recommend this place. Pricing was great and service was even better!

Merlin's is a family owned restaurant that exceeds in customer service and friendly atmosphere. My family had the Sunday morning buffet. It was standard breakfast fare like waffles, eggs, sausage, cheesy hash browns, etc.. overall the food was okay at the Buffett but not great. Food being ordered off the menu looked better overall and we will probably go that route next time. The atmosphere is tight but friendly. The unfortunate by-product of being so close to each other is sharing in their smells. I'm not a smoker but felt like I had started that day. The Buffett serving area was clean and well stocked, but in a very small area that also happened to be the main passage in and out of that area. Overall Merlin's deserves four Stars for their welcoming warm customer service that is above reproach in the food industry.

Was working in princeton from out of town and found this nice little diner style restaurant to stop in for lunch. It was a wonderful experience all around. The server I had was a wonderfully nice lady with a great attitude. The service was prompt and quick but I didn't feel rushed. I get an hour for lunch and I was in and done within 30 minutes. Restaurant was clean and the interior was nicely set up. I got the stacked turkey sandwich and it was delicious and the food prices are definitely reasonable if you're on a budget.

As a reoccurring customer I highly recommend stopping by! The Sunday brunch is a must try!

Way too slow. Older waitresses forget what you ordered and don't get the order in, in a timely manner. This is lunch time on weekdays when people's time is limited. Staff needs to pay attention. This is the second time in a month.

Best breakfast buffet for a family-owned restaurant. Also an egg Benedict Over an English egg muffin and the yolk is still runny. It's amazing.

First time in Princeton and Merlin's was recommended to while we were buying a car. Absolutely some of the best food I've had. Very home-style cooking, and great portion sizes. I got the country fried steak and my wife got an omelet. My wife said the ingredients had a fresh taste, and my steak and sausage gravy was excellent. The pancakes are sweet and more cake like than I am used to, but they were really delicious and perfectly cooked.We will definitely be making a trip up from St. Paul again for lunch soon. Very good.

Always full of people, for a reason. All the waitresses are very nice, and very efficient. Food is good as well. Nothing extravagant, but I don't think anyone goes there looking for extravagant. Just good normal food.

We are a Native American family and I need to write a review to warn others away. Our waitress Isabella was racist and wouldn't help us. We had to complain at the front so we could finally order after she was taking orders from people who arrived after our party did. She took our order but didn't come back to ask if we needed anything. To get help we had to call her from across the room. She grimaced more than smiled. The woman at the front was very nice. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name. Also, the hash browns were overdone and inedible but the rest of the food was good.Edit: She must have given us decaf coffee. We had multiple cups but didn't realize until after. Very dissatisfied.

This restaurant is great. I come very often. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Would love to give it 5 stars. But the problem is that there is no place for a father to change his child. The men’s bathroom does not have a changing station. The women’s does but not the men’s. This makes no sense to me. It’s a shame that I have to leave before we are finished with our food because I need to change my daughter. As I said great place to eat. Get a changing station in the men’s room and 5 stars from me!Also those of you complaining about getting decaf coffee. They just brew their coffee very VERY weak. I typically bring my own when I go for breakfast.

Oh MAN the food here is amazing. Forget about Perkins, Merlin's is the way to go. They have large sizes and amazing prices. This "ma and pa" style restaurant is perfect for a true small town experience.

We moved into the area about a year ago and kept hearing great things about Merlin’s. The food is amazing, but the staff are all so friendly and attentive, so impressed by it all.

Best breakfast in town. Fast friendly service. They have a menu similar to perkins with out the price hike.

Not fancy but good comfort food and generous portions like you used to get 30 years ago. Burger was delicious and crispy batter coated fries were a nice surprise. Nice place to stop and eat on way to or from cabins up north. Kid friendly, no alcohol.

Delicious breakfast place. I had the steak and eggs and my wife had biscuits and gravy. Both were on point! Large portions too!

The menu has some errors but when I got the ommelet and it did not match the description (Swiss and Swiss style American cheese are NOT interchangeable) they remade it without the offending processed cheese food. Service is always friendly. I personally love the sweet rolls. So does everyone else they sell out early, usually before I get there.

Great menu options. Only open til 2 or 3 pm. Sunday breakfast buffet has a great selection.

I got the biscuits and gravy , it was good also had coffee. I will go back will have to try the other options on the menu. It's just breakfast and lunch. Everything is about 10 bucks and up .

I will never stop going here. Some of the nicest people I've ever met work here. They always take the time to speak with me when I come in. I've even brought my teenager in and he loved it. This last time I was served by Bella. Bella is one of the nicest (If I dare say one of the most gorgeous) women I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Her positive attitude is infectious and I can't help but be cheered up after a long night of watching inmates coupled with the stress of being a single parent. I would highly recommend Merlin's to anyone who is looking for a great place to bring the family.

Just moved to the area and wanted to try this place out. We walked in got seated waitress left menus and never came back. We sat for 20 minutes watching others get seated and served while our waitress ignored us. Terrible service and I won't be going back!
